Listen up, bookworms! For today, September 16, only, there’s a truly incredible deal happening on the most popular e-readers on the market—the Amazon Kindle. Woot is currently running a flash sale on used models with prices as low as $35, making it a truly amazing time to buy if you’ve been meaning to catch up on your reading.

Since these devices are used, they may have minor cosmetics blemishes, but they’ve fully restored to working condition by a technician at Amazon—a.k.a. Woot’s parent site. That being said, there’s a Kindle for every budget included in this one-day sale.
While our favorite Kindles—including our top pick, the 10th generation Paperwhite ($149.99), followed by the 2019 Kindle Oasis ($279.99) and the standard 2019 Amazon Kindle ($89.99)—aren’t included in this sale, each of these older iterations of them are fairly similar, so you can’t go wrong.
When it comes to features, the Paperwhite (2016) ($49.99) and the Oasis (2017) ($119.99) have a fair amount of overlap, including their 300-ppi high-resolution screens and extra-long battery life, so they can last up to six weeks on a single charge. The Oasis diverges in that it was the first model to become water-resistant and features ambient light sensors to adjust the screen brightness automatically. The basic Kindle ($34.99), meanwhile, which is the most affordable of the bunch, doesn’t boast these same qualities (its display is just 167 ppi, for example).
These Kindles also deviate in terms of size and storage. The Oasis, with its metal body and brighter LED backlighting, is the largest at 7 inches, while the Paperwhite and standard Kindle are more compact options with 6-inch displays (the de facto size for most e-readers). You can choose between 2GB, 4GB, 8GB and 32GB storage sizes during this sale, with 2GB translating to about 1,100 e-books. Honestly, whichever one you choose, space will likely not be an issue, since you can always delete and re-download any book in your library.
