Between the end-of-summer sales and post-Labor Day deals that are still floating around, you’re bound to find some sweet savings on the right model for your outdoor space. Ahead, find our roundup of the best grill deals to shop right now.
1. $31 off: A large, barrel-style charcoal grill
This well-built charcoal grill from Dyna-Glo, normally $229, won’t break the bank either, as it’s currently fallen to just under $200 at Wayfair. With a huge, 500-square-inch cooking area, it will allow you to fit all your meats on it with ease, as well as a few sides to boot—especially since you’ll get an extra 200 square inches of cooking area from the warming rack. It was a solid performer in our test of the best charcoal grills, though its coal rack and design could stand a serious update: We found the grates to be a bit tricky to use. Still, we thoroughly enjoyed the grill’s adjustable coal bed, and found this grill to offer a super sturdy construction, as well.
2. 20% discount: A fire-red Kamado-style grill
Kamado grills are the hottest, newest member on the grill scene and can serve as a grill, smoker and even an outdoor oven, all rolled into one. While the typically high prices of these grills can be hard to swallow, with some models selling for well over $1,000, there’s currently a great deal over at Lowe’s on the Kamado Joe Classic II charcoal grill. Once $1,199, you can currently save 20% to get it for $959.20. (Note that inventory may be low or out of stock depending on your location.) When we tested the slightly newer Classic III version ($1,699.99) in our roundup, it performed well throughout each cooking test. We also enjoyed its bevy of accessories, though we did have some issues with the lid staying open. Still, if you’re tempted to make a switch to a ceramic grill, this deal is one you’ll definitely want to consider.
3. $30 in savings: This portable grill that’s perfect for camping
If you’re planning any camping trips this fall, you’ll strongly want to consider adding the Cuisinart Petit Gourmet to your packing list. This trusty, lightweight grill was the previous winner in our roundup of the best portable grills and was only recently beat by the Weber Q 1200 ($209). Regardless, it’s an amazing, easily transportable option for the price point, with legs that pop out for grilling time and fold-up when not in use. While meats took a bit longer to cook on its porcelain-enameled grate, they were tasty nonetheless. Normally $139.99, right now, you can save $20 on this compact grill to snag it for just $99.99 at Rue La La.
4. Up to 60% off: Grill accessories and more at BBQGuys
Labor Day may have come and gone, but this sale at BBQGuys is still going strong with discounts of up to 60% on grills, grilling accessories, smokers and so much more. For instance, you can nab one of our favorite grilling spatulas, the Weber 6673 original wide spatula, for just $19.99, when it usually retails for $24.99. We found it to be super light and flexible in testing, and it did a great job of flipping burgers. In addition, there’s a whole trove of deals just like this one that are worth checking out—don’t just take our word for it, click the link below!
5. $25 off: One of our favorite gas grills in a stainless-steel finish
This heavy-duty Dyna-Glo four-burner propane grill is a high-performing-yet-inexpensive pick that’s down $25 from its original $250 price tag at Houzz when you use promo code HZCP25 at checkout, which brings the price down to $229. In our testing of the best gas grills, a similar, non stainless-steel version ($199 at Lowe’s) eclipsed all other models in its price range, as we appreciated its sturdy build and how smoothly and tightly the lid closed. Although we found the unit we tested a bit noisy and weren’t pleased with the hotspot in the back corner, all-in-all, it was still an unbeatable choice overall, and the same is true of this version given its stainless-steel exterior.
6. $30 discount: One of the best smokers we’ve tested
Charcoal grill lovers looking to invest in a smoker will love the Pit Barrel cooker. Normally $349.99, it’s currently $30 cheaper at Ace Hardware for Ace Rewards members (it’s free to sign up here). With a charcoal basket on the bottom, a grill plate up top and rebar hanging rods to vertically hang meat, there’s tons of space for racks of ribs, whole chickens and more large cuts. This grill also ranked highly in our roundup of the best smokers for its no-fuss assembly and the large charcoal basket, though we wouldn’t recommend it for those just learning the ins and outs of smoking meat—it’s a bit difficult to adjust and doesn’t include a thermometer. For the long-time grilling enthusiasts however, this deal is one you won’t want to miss.
7. $60 off: This top-notch propane grill that won’t cost a fortune
When it comes to gas grills, the sky is essentially the limit for how much you want to spend. For a more budget-friendly pick and a a solid, middle-of-the-road option, check out this Char-Broil Performance four burner gas grill. When we tested the five-burner version, we found it to cook both burgers and chicken drumsticks super evenly, though it wasn’t the most aesthetically-pleasing of the bunch. This four-burner model boasts enough space to cook up to 20 burgers at once and is designed with porcelain-coated iron grates to that make cleanup easier. While it usually retails upwards of $239.99, its currently on sale at BJ’s Wholesale Club for just $179.99 for a total savings of $60. (Note that you’ll need to be a BJ’s member for $55 per year to access this deal.
