This Thursday, you can save on all kinds of clever products for around the house (or for when you’re driving around). From top-notch car chargers to the best nonstick cookware set we’ve ever used, these Amazon sale items are a sure-fire way to enhance your life while still keeping a bit of extra cash in your account.
1. Save 24: The cult-favorite hair styler everyone’s talking about
Don’t you just love it when two of your biggest passions come together? In this case, bargain hunters and beauty addicts alike are in for a treat, because the Revlon One Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer is on sale and the discount that’s happening on it is fan-frickin’-tastic. You can scoop this little beauty up today for $36.39, which is $23.60 off its usual $59.99 price tag for a 30% discount in total. We really just can’t say enough good things about this sleek styling brush. We’ve tested it on both straight and curly hair and think it’s perfect for fab at-home blowouts that will make you look like you just stepped out of a salon after use—even if you’re in quarantine. You can also forget about flat and curling irons with this strand-tamer, since it will do all the work you wished those other hot hair tools would. This Revlon product reduces frizz, adds volume and can smooth out flyaways, too, for a finish that’ll feel plenty worthy of the ‘Gram.
2. Less than $10: This car charger with more than 26,000 reviews
At this point, everyone who drives probably has a car charger. But here’s the thing—not all of these devices were created equal. When we tested out the best car USB chargers, we were positively wowed by the Anker 24W Dual USB and consider it the best option for juicing up multiple products at once. Right now, you can get it for $7.99, which is $1.50 off its $9.49 original retail value. What do we love about this bad boy? Oh, let us count: It’s sleek and compact; comes with Anker’s proprietary PowerIQ and VoltageBoost tech (which is just a fancy-schmancy way of saying it’s super powerful); and it works with most smartphones and tablets—even iPads. For a price this low on something so practical, you won’t want to pass it up.
3. $20 off: This emergency car starter for your glove compartment
It’s everyone’s worst nightmare: You’re driving along a dark road, when suddenly, your car breaks down. You can’t call anyone—maybe you forgot to grab your car charger, or you’re just in a place with no reception—and that fear in the pit of your belly is starting to rise. You could be totally screwed—unless you have a jump-starter like the Tacklife T6 800A, which has more than 3,000 positive Amazon reviews, on hand. On sale for just under $60 from its usual $80, this portable pick is $20 off. It feels like an even bigger bargain, however, when you consider the peace of mind this device provides. “I borrowed a truck … but the battery kept dying. I was relying on others for a jump. This charger started [the car] up quickly every time,” wrote one reviewer. “Nice to have the charger in my emergency box so I won’t have to ask strangers for help in the future.”
4. Almost 50% off: This popular space heater from Vornado
Those 90-degree days and late sunsets? Get ready to bid them a fond farewell as the crisp, cool nights of autumn return, and with them, the need to bundle up in flannel and blankets. A space heater is one way to add a little more warmth to your home without touching the thermostat (a big no-no as it were, in most households), and right now you can grab one of the most popular models around—the Vornado AVH10—for $66. This is a tremendous price cut, given that it generally retails for $124.99, so you’re saving almost $60. We haven’t tested this unit yet but shoppers on Amazon say this 4.2-star rated device is a must-try. It comes with a digital display, so you can see the temperature, as well as advanced safety features, like an auto shut-off system, so you don’t have to stress that it’ll overheat.
5. Less than $100: The best nonstick cookware we’ve ever tried
If you’re used to being a disaster in the kitchen like yours truly, here’s a fun tip that’ll help save you countless hours of stress and anxiety: Buy the best nonstick cookware you can afford. Unlike stainless-steel or cast-iron cookware (which can be beautiful and awesome, but also a real hassle to make meals with if you’re a newbie), a good set of nonstick pots and pans have virtually no learning curve and are relatively easy to maintain over time. Right now, you can get our favorite collection, the T-fal C561SC titanium advanced nonstick 12-Piece cookware set, on sale for $99.99, which is $30 less than its typical $129.99 price. In testing, we enjoyed how easily it boiled water, as well as how comfy and padded the handles were. While the frying pans included here couldn’t sear meat as well as a stainless steel one could (which is, quite frankly, to be expected), this set was terrific for cooking eggs and simmering sauces. All in all, if you’re searching for pots and pans that’ll be real workhorses for you with the stove, these will do very nicely.
