If upping the ante on your binge-watching game has been on your “to-do” list for a while, now’s officially your chance to score a sweet deal on one of our most beloved streaming devices of 2020. The Roku Premiere—a user-friendly option that comes at a low price point for those looking to stream movies, TV shows and games at the click of a button—is on sale at Best Buy for $29.99—a cool 25% off its usual selling price of $39.99.

We rated the Roku Premiere among our top streaming devices, with our executive editor, TJ Donegan, noting that it’s a solid option if you don’t need all the bells and whistles of more advanced Roku models, such as the Streaming Stick+ (also on sale for $39.99) and Ultra ($89.89). With this guy, you’ll still have access to the vast amount of content on Roku’s platform, plus, you’ll get support for 4K, HDR and Dolby Atmos sound with compatible TV and audio systems.
We did note a few drawbacks, including slow WiFi connectivity when compared to the Streaming Stick+ and no Ethernet support. We also like the remote better on the slightly-pricier stick.
Still, for its über-low price point, the Premiere has plenty of satisfied shoppers. Among its 2,100+ stellar reviews on Best Buy alone (there’s also close to 21,000 satisfied shoppers on Amazon), buyers have said that it “works great!” One shopper went so far as to call it an “excellent adjunct to TV viewing,” adding that it was “easy to look up and also made all my favorite streaming easy to include.” Some reviews note those same limitations we found in our review, which is worth pointing out if you’re looking for a super high-tech model.
The Roku Premiere will be on sale at Best Buy for a limited time, so snag yours soon if you’re hoping to score this incredible deal.
