Attention, laptop shoppers! If a Chromebook is on your wish list for the school year ahead or you’re merely looking to make an upgrade, this ultra-thin, speedy machine just got even more appealing.

Not only are select models on sale at Target, those who have yet to sign up for Disney+ can now take advantage of a sweet new perk through September 30, as Chromebook customers who are new to the streaming service will get a three-month trial, free of charge.
Our favorite laptop under $200—the HP Chromebook 11-v031nr, which is currently out of stock at many locations—is one such machine that will make you eligible for this promotion. While stock is limited and varies by location, those lucky enough to snag it at Target for in-store pickup will receive a $50 discount, as it drops from $199.99 to just under $150. In our testing, we found this model to be very lightweight (it’s just 2.5 pounds) and portable, have a decent build quality, a solid, nine-hour battery life and a large touchpad that is sufficiently responsive.
If you’re looking to invest in something a bit more powerful, the Asus Chromebook Flip C434TA-DSM4T is the best Chromebook we’ve ever tested and is currently on sale at Abt. Though it’s not the biggest markdown in the world, falling from its usual $569 to $555.50, it is the best price point we could find for this budget-friendly laptop, which truly wowed us in testing. We loved nearly every element of its sophisticated design, from the beautiful display and keyboard right down to its elegant aluminum finish and chrome trim.
Already a Chromebook owner? You, too, can sign up for the three-month trial run of Disney+ with no purchase necessary. To access this deal, all you have to do is follow the steps when prompted on the Google Play store. There, you’ll find a list of all the current Google Chromebook offers, including this option for the Disney+ app. After doing so, you’ll receive a unique promo code to activate your offer when you create a new Disney+ account, selecting the auto-renewing subscription option and clicking the “redeem code” button to enter it.
As is the case with most free trials, once the three months is over, you’ll automatically be charged the usual $6.99 per month fee should you choose to keep the service. That means you’ll want to remember to cancel your subscription prior to the end of the trial if you don’t want to pay for Disney+ access.
Though you must be a new Disney+ user to get this deal, current customers can save in other ways (might we suggest this Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ bundle).
With Chrome OS as the base operating system, Chromebooks check all the right boxes and are perfectly equipped for light usage. Their inexpensive price tag is just another additional perk, and this Disney+ offer only sweetens the pot.
