1. Save $350: This high-powered laptop with an ultra-fast processor
One of the best tech deals you can take advantage of this Memorial Day is on the Lenovo Yoga C940 14-inch Mica, which is on sale for $1,049.99 when you use the promo code MEMDAY3 at checkout. That’s a huge $350 discount from its usual $1,399.99 retail price. Lenovo’s site is a little confusing, so you’ll have to scroll down to see the full savings on this model. This laptop is built with a super-fast 10th generation i7 processor, plus, it has 12 gigabytes of random access memory (RAM). “The awesome 2-in-1 hinge and [the C940 design language] gets you a faster processor and more RAM while still keeping the price right around $1,000,” says our computing expert TJ Donegan.
2. Save $20: Our favorite streaming device
Cut the cord on your cable services and upgrade to the best streaming device we’ve ever tried with this rad discount on the Roku Ultra. Right now at B&H Photo, you can save $20 to get this wonderful model for $79.99 rather than its usual $99.99. When we tested this device, we couldn’t find a single thing wrong with it—that’s seriously how great it is. It supports 4K/high dynamic range (HDR) viewing and can be a solid option for streaming from Netflix, Disney+ and more.
3. Under $850: One of the best Windows laptops around
For PC users who enjoy using Windows, the Dell XPS 13 is one of the best laptops around. According to TJ, this entry-level XPS option comes with a “dizzying array of configurations,” including a solid 10th-generation i5 processor and a touchscreen. This computer boasts ample storage, with 8 gigabytes of built-in RAM and a 256 gigabyte solid state drive (SSD). Thanks to this sale happening at Dell, you can get it for its lowest price—$849.99—and save $50, as it ordinarily retails for $899.99. For anyone who’s used to Windows and needs a laptop for everyday internet browsing, this is a worthwhile investment.
4. Save $15: The best noise-canceling headphones for kids
Kids are watching videos and using tablets more than ever these days, which is why it’s so important that they use a set of headphones that’ll protect their ears and limit the maximum volume that audio reaches. Enter: Puro Sound Labs’ PuroQuiet Wireless Kids Headphones. These are the best headphones for kids we’ve ever tested because they cut down on ambient noise, making them perfect for those with sensory issues. The PuroQuiet Wireless Kids Headphones are also wireless, which is great if you want to avoid tangles via messy cords. These bad boys almost never go on sale (seriously, the last time they did was during Black Friday), but right now at Puro Sound Labs, you can save an extra $15 to get them for $84.99 instead of $99.99.
5. Save $150: This innovative PC that transforms into a tablet
We can’t say enough good things about the HP Spectre x360, especially now that it’s on sale during HP’s big Memorial Day savings event. You’re getting some terrific specs for the price point, and when we tried out the 15-inch version, we were thoroughly impressed by this PC’s five-hour battery life. While the model that’s on sale is 13 inches, it has all the same great specs, it’s just slightly smaller. Best of all, the Spectre x360 was built with a rotating touch-screen, which turns it into a “tablet.” It also comes with a 10th generation Intel Core i7 processor and 8 gigabytes of storage, so you can use it for regular internet browsing. Although this computer typically retails for $1,299.99, you can save $150 to have it shipped to your door for $1,149.99.
6. Save $230: This budget-friendly laptop that’s easy to use
Lenovo’s mid-range C740 has a 10-generation Intel i5 processor and gives you a versatile option for everyday computing at an awesome value. According to TJ, one of its major selling points—aside from the 8 gigabytes of RAM and 512 gigabytes of SSD—is its nifty two-in-one hinge, which is unique to the Yoga line. This means you can flip this 15-inch laptop up, giving it a tablet-like look that’s wonderful for watching videos. At $1,029.99, it’s already a budget-friendly computer. However, you can get it for $699.99 right now, so you’re saving a whopping $320.
7. Under $400: This laptop that’ll last for years
We know. You see “under $400” for a laptop and your eyes immediately roll into the back of your head. While it’s true in most circumstances that a computer that cheap from any maker—HP, Lenovo, you name it—may be bound for the dumpster almost as soon as you take it out of the box, that’s not the case with the Dell Inspiron 15-inch 5000 laptop, which TJ says really is a great buy for the money. You can get it for $399.99 right now, which is $80 less than its standard going rate of $479.99. Is it the most powerful laptop you’ll ever use? Heck no. But it has a 10th-generation i3 processor and was built with 4 gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes SSD, which means that it’ll last you. “Laptops this affordable usually come with far weaker processors, so this is a good deal if you want a decent laptop that’ll hold up for years,” he says.
